Managing Editor

This position coordinates the Thistle staff, updates our website, manages outreach, and acts as The Thistle's representative at activities fair, general body meetings, etc. Outreach includes coordinating with the senior portraits photographer, organizations we partner with, and administration. Essentially, Managing Editor is public face of The Thistle, but also keeps the organization running from within.

Paid $1000 for the school year. Expected to work about 3 hours a week.


Business Manager

This position promotes the yearbook as an organization and as a product to Seniors and parents, by controlling marketing and financial decisions. Business Manager will work with our adviser to sell the yearbooks, set the annual budget, and approve transactions. Similar to a treasurer and fundraising chair, with real-world applications by working with customers and our publisher.

Paid $1000 for the school year. Expected to work about 3 hours a week.


This position delegates photography assignments of campus events to photo staff, coordinates with organizations to include group pictures in the yearbook, and takes photographs for campus events. An integral part of the creative staff.

Photo Editor


This position organizes all the writing in the yearbook. This might entail reaching out to campus leaders for information about their organizations and writing original content for campus events. An integral part of the creative staff.

Paid $1000 for the school year. Expected to work about 3 hours a week.

Copy Editor
